Nick Parkhouse
After graduation, Nick worked in extremely tedious financial services for fifteen years before gleefully accepting a redundancy cheque and scampering to the door. Since 2009 he has been a freelance writer and copywriter providing content for a range of international clients. Nick recently spent two years stalking random 80′s pop stars in the name of ‘research’ for his first book, 101 Forgotten Pop Hits of the 1980s. The acclaimed encyclopaedia of a decade’s music was published in 2010 and, at its peak, almost reached the Top 500,000 on Amazon (it’s currently 901,271st).
Nick’s stage contributions to date include an appearance as King Herod and signing on the same bill as Tony Hadley. The latter involved Nick belting out a soaring rendition of Elton John’s Your Song whilst dressed as the portly knight of the realm. Nick has also appeared on forgotten Channel 4 show Fifteen to One on two occasions – winning one and then being narrowly defeated by a grumpy tour guide from Devon.
