Gorilla Burger – Improv Comedy Show – Thursday 13th June 2013

On Stage Comic Carnage Strikes Again

GorillaBurger_TheCorner

We’re at 8 Stoney Street with Gorilla Burger!

It’s going to be one of the most awesome comedy nights in Nottingham this June – and you can be there. Live, improvised comedy, the like of which you have never seen before.

MissImp and Slapdash Improv Festival present GORILLA BURGER

Gorilla Burger will feature two teams performing improvised comedy – plus at the end ANYONE can get on stage and have a go too.

Tickets just £4 on the door. First come, first served due to limited seating. We expect it will sell out by the 7.30pm start time. PLUS you can BRING YOUR OWN BOOZE (coz there’s no bar) – bargain.

The line-up:

7.30pm MissImp Intermediate Graduation show
See the graduates of our intermediate improv comedy course perform a short showcase. This is only their second time on stage after doing two levels of our course. These guys are good – and deserve warm crowd support

8pm Fisticuffs
Fisticuffs is the Midlands’ first ever longform improv group. It is comprised of members of MissImp, Nottingham’s premier improv comedy group. Tonight they will be telling stories from their own lives and then performing scenes based on those stories. The stories they tell will be inspired by your suggestions.
SPECIAL GUEST: Fisticuffs are proud to be joined in this performance by Shannon O’Neill from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York, where she is a very highly regarded performer and teacher of improvised comedy.

8.30 mini-interval

8.40pm – 10pm THE BIG GORILLA BURGER JAM
Anyone can play. Put your name in the hat and come up and do a scene (or a shortform game if you’d prefer). We’ll pick names out of the hat and performers will get to try out playing with new people – or even playing for the very first time. No previous experience required.
