Improv Jam – Thursday 15 January 2015

This week’s jam: A Person of Good Character

This week’s jam is brought to you by: Parky

Good characters and good relationships between them = good improv.

We all have stock characters that we reach for in scenes. Lord knows I’ve played a slightly camp Welshman more than once and barely a week goes by without a little old lady from Dundee creeping into an open scene.

In an attempt to get us all thinking about playing characters we’d not normally invent, this week’s jam will be inspired by a pile of random photos. We’ll each pick a photograph of an unknown person and our persona for the evening will be based on that picture. What does the person sound like? What’s their name? What’s their back story?

At the end of the night I might even show the pictures and we can guess which of us played ech character.

Lots of scenes, lots of fun, lots of chances to play a completely different role. Marvellous!
