It’s that time of the year again – MissImp is bringing back the MissImp Awards!
It’s the glitziest night of the year, where we celebrate everyone in our community! Everyone who attends gets an award, but in order to get a fancy personalised award you must confirm your attendance by booking in advance through Ticketsource by the 29th of November. Prices are the same as normal Gorilla Burger, it just confirms who is coming in advance.
The fun part is, the awards come from YOU GUYS! We’ll be sending around a list of the confirmed attendees a few weeks before on a Google Form, and then you can submit your suggestions for nominations to suit each person. The best ones get picked! The latest we can get nominations is Friday 6th of December, so please send in the form before then! Previous examples include “Best Dog” or “Bendiest Knees” or “Most Likely To Play A Russian In A Scene” or the highly coveted “The Brendan Duffy Award”.
We are also doing special awards for the MissImp Outstanding Achievement Award. These are awards for two people who you feel have really gone above and beyond for the MissImp community this year, in whatever capacity. You can nominate anyone by filling in the section of the Google Form which will be sent out along with the rest of the nominations. Last year’s winners were Emily and Elliott, so they can’t be nominated again this time around!
Short version
- Confirm your place through Ticketsource by 29th of November!
- Nominate your fellow MissImpers for awards by the 6th December, and the Outstanding Achievement Award!
- Show up and party on the 12th of December!
When you get called up to do a scene at Gorilla Burger, you’ll also be given your award! Please note that if you don’t confirm you’re coming in advance, you won’t receive a personalised award – it’s just too much admin on the night otherwise…
Dress Code: Those who dress very fancy receive more kudos (Emily will again be rocking her grad ball dress, Nick might wear a suit) but it is entirely optional!
Your evening of live improvised comedy carnage returns! It’s theatre karaoke where you can be the star.
At Gorilla Burger you can get up on stage whether you’ve played before or not. Hugely supportive and tons of fun this is a delightful way for you to experience improvised comedy.
Or you can just sit back, enjoy an evening of unplanned, uncensored improv comedy theatre with a pint from the bar upstairs.
