Gorilla Burger: Christmas Awards Special!

Thursday 13th December

This month’s Gorilla Burger is a bit different – MissImp is bringing back the MissImp Awards!

Everyone who attends gets an award, but in order to get a fancy personalised award you HAVE to confirm your attendance by booking in advance through Ticketsource! Prices are the same as normal Gorilla Burger, it just confirms who is coming in advance!

The fun part is, the awards come from YOU GUYS! We’ll be sending around a list of the confirmed attendees the week before on a Google Form, and then you can submit your suggestions for nominations to suit each person. The best ones get picked! The latest we can get nominations is Friday the 7th of December, so please send in the form before then! Previous examples include “Tallest Improvisor” or “Bendiest Knees” or “Most Likely To Play A Russian In A Scene” or “The Armitage Shanks Awards For Toilet Mentions”.

We are also doing special awards for the MissImp Outstanding Achievement Award! These are two awards for two people who you feel have really gone above and beyond for the MissImp community this year in whatever capacity. You can nominate anyone by filling in the section of the Google Form which will be sent out, just write a brief reason why by Friday the 7th! Then there’ll be a public vote over the weekend of the 8th of December! The previous winners were Lloydie James Lloyd and Liam Webber, so they can’t be nominated again this time around!

So short version: (1) confirm your place through Ticketmaster! (2) Nominate your fellow MissImpers for awards by the 7th December! (3) Vote for Outstanding Achievement Award 8th– 9th December! (4) show up and party!

When you get called up to do a scene at Gorilla Burger, you’ll also be given your award!

Dress Code: Those who dress very fancy receive more kudos (Emily will be wearing her grad ball dress that hasn’t had an outing since 2015) but it is entirely optional!

During the coronavirus outbreak, MissImp has continued to offer entirely free online activities for our community, including commissioning an ongoing series of paid virtual drop-ins from improvisers around the world, fortnightly online Gorilla Burger shows and more. If you’d like to help us keep these activities going and keep our lights on we’d be immensely grateful. Together, we can get through this.
