Gorilla Burger in the park

Gorilla Burger in the Park, Improv Funtimes Thursday 17 June 2021

Let’s do this thing in the wild! Last week’s Improv Playtime in the Park was really fun, so why not give Gorilla Burger a whirl under the open sky too!

Here’s the plan: join us down at Highfields Park by the Lakeside Arts Theatre (Nottingham Uni lake – we’ll try to find a quietish spot to play around in – last week we were on the other side of the Lakeside Arts Centre and it was very pleasant). We’re not making this a “real” show – we are turning up to play and have some fun.

First come first served – please use “Going” on this FB event or the one in the MissImp Members FB group so we’ve got a reasonable idea about numbers – if we get over 20 folks expressing interest we’ll get a bit fussier about making sure we know we’re not going to have more than 30 people (y’know, the law…)

We’re going to be outside, so we should be safe and dandy, but as ever, be sensible! Bring water, a mask (cos you’ll be travelling most likely), something to sit on, something to drink (remember you aren’t supposed to booze in Nottingham parks) and maybe some anti-bug spray…

As usual you’re in for a cheery evening of live improvised comedy carnage! It’s theatre karaoke where you can be the star. Very low key, and entirely for fun!

During the coronavirus outbreak, MissImp has continued to offer entirely free online activities for our community, including commissioning an ongoing series of paid virtual drop-ins from improvisers around the world, fortnightly online Gorilla Burger shows and more. If you’d like to help us keep these activities going and keep our lights on we’d be immensely grateful. Together, we can get through this.
