It’s that time of the year again – MissImp is bringing back the MissImp Awards! Mashing up the usual carnage of names and games plucked from a hat of dreams with our legit knock-off Oscars ceremony, this is the perfect sayonara to 2019, and the best way to avoid all that ghastly election nonsense.
It’s the glitziest night of the year, where we celebrate everyone in our community! The award nominations are being compiled, and they are amazing. Improvisers have been nominated for a tonne of awards and we’re looking forward to handing them out to much applause, excitement and so forth! We’ll also be presenting the MissImp Outstanding Achievement Awards. These are awards for two people who the community has adjudged to have really gone above and beyond for MissImp this year, in whatever capacity.
When you get called up to do a scene at Gorilla Burger, you’ll also be given your award. Please note that if you haven’t already booked your place in in advance, you won’t receive a personalised award, but we promise you’ll still get a lot of love!
Dress Code: Those who dress very fancy receive more kudos (Emily will again be rocking her grad ball dress and Nick will be stuffed into a suit) but it is entirely optional!
New to all this? Ace. If you fancy having a go, we’ll pop your name in a hat with some other fabulous folk. When we draw your name it will be time to shine! We’ll pop you in a game or a scene with some of those aforementioned fabulous folk, and comedy will ensue, honest! Of course, you don’t have to perform! You can remain happily anonymous in the audience, settle back with a pint, and enjoy the show.
