In any given improv scene improvisers will often stand about a few metres apart. They could be a couple who are in the first throws of passion, best friends consoling each other after a bereavement or a parent playing with their child, the one-two metre rule applies and it looks weird.
This session is all about touch and intimacy in improv. It’s a chance to try playing a little closer with people, and discover how holding hands or touching an arm can subtly affect the dynamics of a scene or the character relationships. We will look at how space on stage can be played with, as well as the effect that a moment of touch will have on a scene.
MissImp is committed to maintaining a safe environment and anyone attending this drop-in can opt out of any exercise at any time.
