Group scenes provide some of the most fun you can have in improv. You’re creating fabulous and incredible things with multiple people on stage at the same time, and new ideas can be found and explored in even more depth as we each throw our ideas into the hat. It can, however, be absolute carnage as we all try and get our voices heard and make a contribution to the scene. Sometimes, this can detract from the great ideas we’re creating as a group and get us fixated on solving problems in the scene instead of having fun.
This workshop will provide some methods and techniques to produce group scenes that give everyone on stage space to create and define their characters whilst still serving the show as a performance.
