This week’s jam: Musical Playtime

This week’s jam is run by: Lloydie and Pete.

As part of our series of playtime jams where we are consolidating all the different things we’ve learned this year, this Thursday we will be getting musical.

We know several different musical “games” or structures as a group and it’s been a little while since we’ve been able to have fun with them.  The good news is that Pete, our long lost keyboard player, is back in Nottingham this week.  Hoorah.  Lloydie and Pete together will be guiding everyone through the fun musical games we can play on stage.  No pressure, no criticism, just us getting up and having fun with music.  Names out of the hat throughout the jam, but we might engineer some of it so that players for our next show get to run a couple of the structures together.

This will also be a great refresher / taster of what’s to come for those who book onto the musical weekend with Heather and Joe on 1st / 2nd December.

Hi There!

During the coronavirus outbreak, MissImp has continued to offer entirely free online activities for our community, including commissioning an ongoing series of paid virtual drop-ins from improvisers around the world, fortnightly online Gorilla Burger shows and more. If you’d like to help us keep these activities going and keep our lights on we’d be immensely grateful. Together, we can get through this.
