This week’s jam: Where the devil is
This week’s jam is brought to you by: Parky
Specificity is funny. It’s way more funny to tell us in a scene that your going to the Dog and Trousers, not to your local pub. It helps that you tell us you’ve been waiting for 45 minutes, not that you have been waiting ‘ages’. And, it is much funnier to call your dog Mrs Jenkins than it is to call her ‘the dog’.
So, this week’s jam is going to be a lovely set of open scenes but concentrating on the specific detail. Call your scene partner a name. Explain *exactly* where you are (The Cheadle Laundromat, not ‘the launderette’. And use specific numbers, measurements and proper nouns.
I’ll be policing this hard with the bell, so expect to be interrupted if you say you have ‘some money’ or that you’re on the way ‘to work’.
Marvellous. See you on Thursday!
