Improvised comedy sketch group The Vox Pops return to Nottingham Playhouse on Saturday 12th October.
“Improv Heroes” – Metro
Each show, The Vox Pops welcome a guest star to share true stories from their lives and use them as inspiration for a totally unplanned and utterly hilarious night of entertainment.
Highly trained, hyperactive performers who seize on the minutiae of real lives for comic and theatrical effect.
Past guests include Nottingham’s very own Annie from Annie’s Burger Shack, as well as music promoter and producer Will Robinson of I’m Not From London. This time the audience will see real life tales spun into improv gold from special guest Jonathan Sims, international horror writer and creator of hit podcast The Magnus Archives and games company MacGuffin & Co.
Supported by brilliant up-and-coming improv theatre group Five Chubby Foxes.
The Vox Pops are part of Nottingham comedy institution MissImp, the heart of Nottingham’s thriving improvised theatre community, teaching and producing astonishing unscripted shows for over twenty years.
