Hi everyone!
We just wanted to update you following the government’s coronavirus announcement yesterday. Despite the hype running up to it, there is of course no actual change for most of us, and very little about when anything might change.
Stay Home, Stay Safe
Whilst we are keen to resume the improv fun as soon as possible, the safety of our community will always come first. There is currently no clear guidance on when we will be able to resume our normal activities in pubs or theatres, so at this stage we can’t advise when we will be able to begin any in-person drop-ins, rehearsals, shows, or courses. Even if future guidance suggests that we might resume activities over the summer, we’ll look carefully with our venues at measures we can take to ensure that safety of our community (eg capping the number of attendees at drop-ins, etc). As you might know, we’ve already canceled our previously scheduled courses and fully refunded everyone who was booked in. It seemed like the safest thing to do right now, and puts cash back in the hands of folks who need it.
Online Activities
In the meantime, we’ll be continuing with our Virtual Drop-Ins for the foreseeable future. We also have a Virtual Pub after the drop-in every Thursday at 20:30, where we’re using breakout rooms to shuffle everyone around and chat in small groups. Join the MissImp Members group on Facebook or drop us an email to get the Zoom invitation. It’s been quite lovely!
We’re also expanding, and trialing a Virtual Gorilla Burger (eek!), so watch this space! If there is anything else you’d like to see at the moment, let us know. We’ll be keeping in close contact with all of our regular venue partners, and as soon as we have any developments we will let you know.
Take care, and stay safe!
