Our beloved pal The Misk Hills Mountain Rambler is organising a Mopen Mic Extravaganza tomorrow night:

The Guitar Bar at Hotel Deux

A celebration of all things ‘moustache’ the theme of the evening will be ‘Mo-pen Mic’ . . . which means that you will be able to show off your moustache OR your fledgling talents (whatever they may be!) ‘on stage’ ALL forms of performance will be encouraged; from . . . Spoken word to recorder playing, stand up comedy to drumming, sing-songs to mummers plays, ballet to Morris, ukulele’s to oboes . . . Indeed, absolutely anything goes! . . . You can even bring a moustachioed friend or family member to make a fool of themselves in public! There will of course be a ‘Gala Moustache Parade’ for your exquisite delight . . . ! + various other forms of Tom-foolery, troubadourian tonics and gastronomic delights (or so I hear)! The first half will be comedy and spoken word, the second wonderful music!
- Several of the MissImp crew are heading out there – Mr Parky’s stand up joy, Nick’s bringing Captain Pigheart stories and compereing, Trilly’s bringing his guitar. There may even be improv!
***ALL POTENTIAL ‘PERFORMERS’ must contact the ‘Captain’ or the ‘Brigadier’ (who has developed a small military blond affair!) ASAP to ensure a stage slot***
