Laurie Owen
Laurie Owen is a theatremaker and oddjobber, who taught improv at LUU Comedy Society for three years, designing the curriculum and pedagogy from the ground up, primarily inspired by Viola Spolin and Keith Johnstone. Laurie is also queer and autistic, and because of this, he was frequently disadvantaged by the UK educational system. He uses these experiences to inform his empathetic and anti-authoritarian approach to teaching.

During the coronavirus outbreak, MissImp has continued to offer entirely free online activities for our community, including commissioning an ongoing series of paid virtual drop-ins from improvisers around the world, fortnightly online Gorilla Burger shows and more. If you’d like to help us keep these activities going and keep our lights on we’d be immensely grateful. Together, we can get through this.
