Improv Drop-In: Thursday 17 January 2019

This week’s drop-in: Playfulness

Brought to you by Ben.

One of the best things about improv is finding a little thing that just tickles you and playing with it. This week is all about finding joy in the simple stuff of a scene and sharing that enjoyment with the audience.

We are going to do some work on heightening the silly things to get a big response, use some clowning techniques to find new ways of interacting in scenes and just try to have the best time possible with our scene partners.

Improv Drop-In: Thursday 3 January 2019

This week’s drop-in: What’s happening!?

Brought to you by Lee.

The holidays can be a disorientating time, we don’t know what day it is, where we are or what we’ve eaten. Ever been that way in a scene? Unsure what is going on with your character or partner?

To start the year we’re going to build our awareness of where we are from the very start of a scene. We’ll work on a series of exercises on verbal and non-verbal communication and listening, finding strength in giving and receiving gifts, and taking the easy choice to drive engaging, funny improv. Can’t wait to play!
