Physicality, Objects & Movement with Ki and Russ. In this workshop Ki and Russ give you some ideas on how to play around with being non-human characters, practise “show don’t tell”, and take on characteristics from animals to give you more options in scenes and to help you break out of the classic “people stand (or sit) and talk to one another” default improv scene.
This drop-in is FREE, but donate below if you wish to!
Ki and Russ are Leicester based improvisers who both perform with The Same Faces and Tiny Stories. Russ also runs monthly Masterclasses with guest teachers from all over the country at Leicester’s Deacon Street Arts, and Collective Unconscious, an informal monthly drop-in for improvisers to break out from regular workshops and trial new ideas. He is one half of twoprov Russ & Adam. Ki set up the Midlands Improv SupHERgroup, a collective for female and non-binary improvisers in the Midlands, is an occasional guest at Do The Right Scene’s Special Delivery night at Hoopla in London, she is also a Director of Upstairs at the Western CIC, which runs a pub theatre in Leicester, and has a soloprov show: Ki Shah’s One Offs. All of this was true before #UKlockdown and hopefully will continue when they’re allowed out again!
